Choose a lesson, see what you need and talk it through with your child. Reason Along puts prompts, explanations and a clear sequence on the parent’s iPhone. Afterwards, save a record of the session for next time.

Lessons are designed for around 15 minutes, with preparation and materials shown before you begin. The parent leads; the phone provides the guide.

Reason Along is launching with New Zealand Years 0–6 lessons. It complements school learning rather than replacing a teacher or assessing a child’s attainment. It is independently developed and is not endorsed by the Ministry of Education.

At launch, every child profile will have six fixed starter lessons at each of Years 0–6, with complete help, unlimited revisits, no expiry and no payment details.

The planned subscription adds the remaining Years 0–6 catalogue and authored continuation sequences for all local child profiles under the purchasing Apple account, with no sibling fee or profile cap.

Planned New Zealand prices: NZ$9.99 per month or NZ$79.99 per year, including GST. Both provide the same access. No auto-converting trial. Live purchases are not yet available. The annual option charges NZ$79.99 for the year. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before renewal.

Profiles, History, reminders and saving a session are free; another profile adds no content. Reopening teaching depends on that lesson’s access. Caregivers can share the app/device. A verified entitlement belongs to the purchasing Apple account on supported devices; another Apple account has no promised sharing. Apple Family Sharing and cloud synchronisation are not included. Learning records stay on each device; Restore recovers purchase access, not those records.
